Author Archives: Josh Miller

Josh Miller is a lifelong bike nut. He joined the Bicycle Alliance in the April 2011 to lead the Go by Bike program. He really enjoys teaching bike safety to adults. In addition to a lifetime of utility and recreational bicycling, Josh had an earlier career in the bicycle industry and wrote his Master of Urban Planning thesis and his dissertation on the connections between bicycling, the built environment and urban planning. In addition to his responsibilities at the Bicycle Alliance, Josh serves on the Safe Routes to School National Partnership steering committee. Josh subscribes to the N+1 (also expressed as S-1) Theory of Bicycle Ownership and especially loves mountain biking, riding BMX bikes and everyday commuting and utility riding. In his 'spare time' he also enjoys helping his friends keep their bikes in good working order.
